As Christ’s disciples went into the world to preach His gospel, we too feel it is our responsibility to reach out to others who may not yet know Christ.
The Mission committee and our church is actively involved in fundraising for a number of worthy causes, demonstrating our Congregation’s heartfelt response to people in need around the world and here at home. Over the past years, our Congregation has monetarily supported the Mendota Area Senior Services, Mendota Area Food Pantry, PADS, Abigail Women’s Clinic, the Blanket Offering, Marion Medical Mission, the Christmas Joy Offering, and the One Great Hour of Sharing offering which raises funds for disaster relief around the country and throughout the world. For Church World Services, school kits, baby kits, cleanup buckets and hygiene kits were prepared.
At various times during the year, you will find envelopes in the pews to donate specifically to mission projects of the Presbyterian Church. Bulletin inserts specific to these mission project explain how and where your contributions are used.
We have a Mission committee chaired by Joyce Burright. Contact Joyce if you are willing to help with this ministry.
